Crazy Dangerous by Andrew Klavan
This book caught my attention right from the start. It always seemed like Sam
was finding himself getting into trouble. I love the way the author ended each
chapter with a tickler for the test chapter. You will find it hard to put this
book down. Sam is the young man who finds himself enmeshed in trouble with a
group of thugs. In the end he finds out that doing what is right is always the
right thing to do. Sam was also very concerned about what his father would think
of him if he did not make all things right, including his lying that he felt was
a needful thing, until he realized he would have to cover up again and again,
unless he straightened it all out by telling the truth. There is a definite good
moral to the story and would be a great read for teenagers who are struggling
with self acceptance and being "in with the crowd" like Sam at first wanted to
be and then realized how bad a decision he had made. Owning up to your
decisions, especially bad ones, is hard, but in the end worth it all.
