DOMINATION by Jon S. Lewis

From the moment I started reading the first chapter, to the very last page, this book captivated my attention.  The author did an excellent job on immersing you into the characters he is portraying.  From the lovable Glyph to the demanding two headed Giru Ba, you are taken on a journey as three young people, Oz, Colt and Danielle join forces to fight the Thule, invaders from another planet, to save the earth.  I am normally not a sci-Fi reader, but because of the excellent portrayal of characters, I am now determined to read the other two series in this trilogy.  I was unfortunate enough to not be able to read the first two.  But, trust me readers, you can read the third in the series and not be lost on what has happened before.  I very much recommend this book to all out there.  Sci-Fi reader or not, it will be worth your time.  Very reminiscent of Star Wars even possibly War of the Worlds.

Soul's Gate by James L. Rubart

Soul's Gate will captivate you from the very beginning.  The book is about Reece Roth who has a special ability to travel in to people's souls.  The story starts out with Reece gathering four  "warriors" who don't even know what lies ahead.  In a secluded ranch in Colorado they are slowly being trained for their mission.  The book is very captivating in that it intertwines Reece's past and what has haunted him for over 30 years.  He now has the chance, through the four warriors, to redeem the mistake made over 30 years ago.  Be prepared to turn one page after another till the wee hours of the morning.  The chapters are short, but the plot is very intriguing. We all have skeleton's in our closet. Hurts from the past.  How much more can the warriors do by travelling into a soul and helping them open up the doors to their wounds and heal.

Crazy Dangerous by Andrew Klavan

This book caught my attention right from the start. It always seemed like Sam was finding himself getting into trouble. I love the way the author ended each chapter with a tickler for the test chapter. You will find it hard to put this book down. Sam is the young man who finds himself enmeshed in trouble with a group of thugs. In the end he finds out that doing what is right is always the right thing to do. Sam was also very concerned about what his father would think of him if he did not make all things right, including his lying that he felt was a needful thing, until he realized he would have to cover up again and again, unless he straightened it all out by telling the truth. There is a definite good moral to the story and would be a great read for teenagers who are struggling with self acceptance and being "in with the crowd" like Sam at first wanted to be and then realized how bad a decision he had made. Owning up to your decisions, especially bad ones, is hard, but in the end worth it all.

NEVER LET YOU GO by Erin Healy

This book caught my attention right from the start. One of the better suspense books I have read. Lexi Solomon's life has been totally turned upside down. Her past has caught up with her and she is having to fight for her life, along with her daughter, Molly's. In reading this book, the characters came to life. The creepy Warden who has come back into her life from long ago, to her imprisoned husband who has been released from prison, comes back into town claiming he has changed. But has he? Lexi has found the perfect town to live in. Her life has settled down to a normalcy she has always wanted. Working to take care of her daughter, she is unaware of the events that are going to change her life forever. There are numerous twists and turns in this book to keep you wondering what is going to happen next. Towards the end of the book, it gets so suspenseful, with riviting spiritual implications on who the dark characters really are. Are they demons? Is Molly's protecter, Angelo, really an Angel? You, the reader, need to discover this for yourself. A page turner from the first page, you will not be disappointed.
